About Dr. Emily Reul

My name is Dr. Emily Reul, PT, DPT, and I am a board-certified physical therapist. I grew up in Southern California and later moved to Carrollton, GA, where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of West Georgia. I then pursued my Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Nova Southeastern University's Tampa Bay Regional Campus. I have experience working as a physical therapist in outpatient clinics, home health, hospitals, and skilled nursing facilities. I played volleyball for 11 years, including four years at the University of West Georgia. To stay active now, I enjoy running half marathons and riding my Peloton. I understand firsthand the challenges of orthopedic injuries and incontinence. During my volleyball years, I suffered various injuries that required rehabilitation. As a child, I also experienced nocturnal incontinence (bedwetting) until sixth grade. Despite trying medications and nose sprays, nothing helped, and doctors often told my parents to just wait for it to improve. It was embarrassing to wet the bed as a middle schooler. Additionally, I dealt with constipation and urinary frequency as a child, often getting detention for asking to use the bathroom multiple times a day.
