Enrique is a board-certified physical therapist with 25 years of experience, committed to guiding patients towards optimal function and improved well-being. Graduated from Quinnipiac University in 1996. He gained valuable experience at Columbia Presbyterian, rotating through multiple departments including cardiopulmonary rehab, neurology, and orthopedics. During this time, Enrique was also involved in research studies at Columbia University, analyzing gait patterns and implementing motor learning principles to improve gait in post-stroke patients. Following this, Enrique spent 5 years practicing in an outpatient physical therapy office in North Jersey. Driven by a passion for patient-centered care, Enrique opened Mile Square Physical Therapy in Hoboken in 2006, expanding to Jersey City in 2010. During this time, he completed Yoga Teacher Training and began integrating yoga principles into patient treatment plans. In 2018, Mile Square Physical Therapy partnered with Ivy Rehab. Most recently, Enrique completed the Hospital for Special Surgery Hip Certification. He utilizes a holistic approach to rehabilitation, incorporating manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, patient education, and when appropriate, yoga-based techniques. Expertise includes treatment of spinal conditions and conservative management of the knee and shoulder. Outside of the clinic, He believes in maintaining an active and balanced lifestyle. He finds joy in travel, weight lifting, snowboarding, and kiteboarding, which reinforces his understanding of the importance of movement and physical well-being. This personal passion translates into his professional approach, where he strives to empower patients to regain their own active lifestyles.
