“Overall great experience. One point of improvement is that they should send all the forms to complete as soon as the appointment is made. I filled out some forms online through Zocdoc the day before the appointment, but they sent additional patient registration forms from the office the morning of (instead of the day before) the appointment. I was running 10 minutes late and it would have been helpful to have the forms done the day before, but fortunately I was able to be seen and it worked out anyways. ”

Eric Matuszewski PT, DPT, CSCS, SFMA came to MOTION after 5 years of Manhattan outpatient Physical Therapy experience, having treated over 1000 different patients with a wide range of diagnoses. He received his DPT from UMDNJ (now Rutgers) with clinical experiences at University Hospital Newark and St. Peter’s Hospital, as well as subacute care and outpatient experiences. Eric has training in spinal evaluation and treatment from the University of St. Augustine and McKenzie systems and has done coursework on the treatment of jaw pain with St. Augustine. He studied functional mobilization with Institute of Physical Art. Eric is SFMA certified and has been a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) thru the NSCA for nearly 10 years.
Eric has decades of coaching experience in all levels of tennis including collegiate and pro. In addition to tennis coaching in person for various clubs and camps in New Jersey and Maryland, he has coached professional, collegiate and competitive junior tennis players thru video exchange from South Africa, Argentina, Singapore, China, Australia, France, England, Ireland, Belgium, Canada and throughout the US. In his down time, Eric enjoys swimming and hiking in nature, biking in cities and discovering new places.

Eric M. is an excellent physical therapist. He was thoughtful, knowledgeable, and encouraging in the process of healing my sprained ankle. Showed interesting stretches and kept me focused. Very grateful. Kind people working at the facility. Close to the train station. Easy appointment setting system. The electric stimulation machine made it feel like my muscles were dancing. Would highly recommend.

The staff is super friendly & professional! The therapist [Dr. Eric Matuszewski] whom I work with is knowledgeable, innovative, patient and encouraging! The exercises he devises are fun and challenging, and the advice he gives along the way is helpful. It’s only been a short while &, already, I’m noticing improvements in my mobility, balance and stamina.

I was looking for a therapist who would do more than go through the motions and Eric surpassed my expectations. I received a lesson on my spine using models so I could better understand the source of my pain. Then I was guided through a series of movements that would work to alleviate the pressure on my back and relieve my pain. I was given ample time to practice with the therapist to ensure I could work on myself from home. Then stimulation was applied along with a soothing ice pack. I feel confident that I’ll be able to continue working on my body in-between visits ensuring my own success at managing my pain. Eric listened to my needs and provided the care I desired in order to mitigate my circumstances. Thank you. This was a good fit for me.
