About Erica Martello

Erica L. Martello graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Life and Health Sciences, with a physical therapy concentration, Summa Cum Laude from the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) in Old Westbury in May 2012. She then continued to follow her dreams of becoming a Physical Therapist and earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from NYIT in Old Westbury in May 2014, with distinction. Since graduation, Erica has spent most of her time working in outpatient orthopedic clinics that emphasize the use of manual therapy in conjunction with therapeutic exercise programs to help patients achieve the maximum therapeutic benefit and return to their previous pain-free level of function. Erica's love for outpatient orthopedics stems directly from her history as an athlete and her current active lifestyle. She enjoys regularly exercising and continues to participate in recreational sporting events whenever possible. Her own injuries and experiences in Physical Therapy have allowed her to firsthand feel the impact a good physical therapist can have on your life, and she strives to make sure all of her patients return to their previous pain-free level of function so they can continue to participate in the activities they love and live their lives to the fullest. In the coming years, Erica plans to take the OCS (Orthopedic Certified Specialist) Exam to further enhance her orthopedic skills and knowledge base to best help her patients.
