About Erik Hofmann
Erik Hofmann serves as director of the Larchmont, New York location. After receiving his Physical Therapy degree in 1998 from SUNY-Downstate Medical Center, he practiced at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital three years followed by working in orthopedic private practices in Manhattan and Westchester. To enhance his clinical skill, in 2003 he received an Advanced Masters in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy from the University of Queensland in Australia, a world renowned institution for manual therapy. This training involves mastering highly refined assessment and evidence based manual techniques. There are only a handful of therapists in New York with this degree. Before joining RPT he directed his own private practice in Mamaroneck for 3 years. With 16 years experience as a physical therapist, Erik has focused on providing the highest quality care possible.
As a manual therapy specialist, he treats musculoskeletal pain of the spine and extremities with various advanced techniques including muscle energy, joint and neural mobilization, specific muscular releases and stretches. He also provides specific postural reeducation exercises to alleviate and prevent pain. He has worked with many athletes from the local high schools and colleges as well as those who desire to maintain an active, less painful lifestyle.
Erik is an active member of the APTA (American Physical Therapy Association) Orthopedic, Sports and Private Practice sections and AAOMPT (American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists). Erik has lectured on current manual therapy topics at various clinics and university in the NY area. He is married to a pediatric occupational therapist and they live in Westchester. In his spare time, he enjoys exercising, kayaking, hiking and playing with his two young boys.

I'm pretty sure this doctor saved my life.
I've been having pain on my right side for three years, but sucked it up, thinking maybe it was due to age and would stretch out.
I was misdiagnosed with sciatica three times, not only did Erik diagnose the problem, but he also fixed it right away.
Still need time to strengthen and heal, but I'm not feeling any pain for the first time in years.
Highly recommend.

Erik Hoffman is a wonderful physical therapist. He is extremely through, attentive, patient, explains all and provides a wonderful treatment plan. I will be retuning 3 times a week. I recommend him with high regard.
He eased all of my concerns and I feel physically better,, after my first visit.
Also, the facility is extremely clean, well sanitized, and clients are spaced out. I’m so glad I chose Erik Hoffman.

Everyone is pleasant & very knowledgeable. I had a wonderful experience here. I actually enjoyed my therapy visits. Glad I was pushed a little to workout in order to maximize my time & gain my mobility to almost full range. Thank you all =)

My treatments have been great. Erik has been attentive & willing to alter my exercises to get better results. My strength has steadily increased & the pain I experienced initially has dissipated considerably.

My experience with Eric Hofman was by far the best experience I have had compared to other physical therapists. Eric was able to accurately identify the cause of my TMJ and neck issues and offer targeted exercises & stretches. I felt like part of a family here at Recovery PT and wished I would continue with my visits, but unfortunately or fortunately, my symptoms improved substatially! Thank you!
