Psychologist
CA
My name is Gina Pallotta, and I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. I work with clients statewide in California via telehealth, serving children, adolescents, adults, and families. Therapy is individualized based on each client’s unique needs, primarily utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which focuses on the interactions of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. My approach is to create a safe and accepting space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings. Therapy is personalized, building upon strengths while teaching effective coping and communication skills. I also incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy and trauma-informed care to support healing and growth. I have extensive experience working with clients presenting anxiety, depression, child behavioral problems, self-harm, PTSD, and trauma-related issues across all ages. One of my strengths is working with a wide array of clients, providing a safe, non-judgmental space to explore thoughts and feelings. My communication style is grounded in acceptance, validation, calmness, and gentle honesty. My journey to mental healthcare began with a fascination for human behavior and emotions. I was always the friend people could confide in without fear of judgment. In college, psychology classes inspired me to pursue a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at West Virginia University, combining research interests with a desire to help others through proven therapeutic methods. I also earned a Master’s in Psychology from California State University, Stanislaus. For much of my career, I was a psychology professor, training graduate students to become effective therapists. However, my true passion has always been providing caring and effective therapy directly to clients. Together, we will develop clear goals for therapy, facilitated by a caring, trusting, safe, and nonjudgmental space where you can openly explore your thoughts and feelings.
