About Harley Checo

Harley obtained his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from New York Medical College and his Bachelor of Science degree from Iona University. Harley spent most of his childhood in the Dominican Republic before moving with his family to the Bronx, NY, where he spent his teenage and early adult years. Throughout his physical therapy education, Harley had affiliations with New York Presbyterian Hospital, Hospital For Special Surgery, and several outpatient physical therapy practices where he gained experience working with patients with a wide variety of conditions, both post-operatively and non-operatively, throughout the continuum of care. He has worked with patients from the early/acute phase to the late/return to sport stage of recovery. Outside of the clinic, Harley has a passion for strength training, music, concerts, baseball (go Yankees) and spending time with family and friends. Harley has participated in multiple mission trips and has spent time in countries like Bolivia, Peru, and South Africa learning about the culture, human rights, and providing community service. Harley enjoys making meaningful connections with people and carries this into his clinical approach with patient care, building close bonds with his patients in order to empower and encourage them to become the best versions of themselves.
