“This is my first time going to this Professional Physical Therapy on Carmans Rd. In Massapequa & I have had an excellent experience thanks to Butch! I have had PT at other places & didn't have nearly as good as the experience I have had here with Butch! He is attentive & truly cares about each & every one of his patients! His many years of experience truly do help with the patient understanding of the process. He takes the time to ask what your individual needs are & is always inquiring how all the therapy is feeling on your wellness journey! He will definitely make adjustments if something isn't feeling right & never inflicts anything too painful or uncomfortable! About Henry Butch Purslow
Butch was the head physical therapist and president of Farmingdale Physical Therapy West. Before joining Professional Physical Therapy, he had over thirty years of experience owning and operating Farmingdale Physical Therapy Associates. He has been an innovator in private practice and outpatient care for 45 years. Butch earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and a Doctor of Physical Therapy with distinction from Simmons University.
He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the professional division of the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA), where he received an honorary Master of Fitness Science award. Butch is also a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and holds certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).

Could not recommend a physical therapist more than Butch. I had a full tear of my knee last year and went to him feeling very weak physically and mentally. After leaving my appointments with him I felt incredibly uplifted every single time. I had to eventually start going to another PT office since It was too far and after going to two other physical therapists I can tell you that he is one of a kind. Would recommend him to anyone looking for PT. He has a true love for what he does and couldn’t be happier I choose him as my physical therapist.
