269 W 16th St, New York, NY
Himani pursued her master's in exercise science from Long Island University in NY after graduating from PT school in India. She further enhanced her knowledge of physical therapy by enrolling in post-professional school and earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the School of Health Sciences of Touro University – Central Islip, NY. Himani considers herself eclectic, and this is reflected in her approach to training her patients. Growing up as an Indian classical dancer, she always believed there's more to an impairment than just the injured body part and embraces treating the body holistically. Fascinated by kinesiology, she has practiced manual techniques that create changes in joint mechanisms by working on them with her hands. She is highly motivated to continue her education and specialize in Orthopedic Manual Therapy and is currently pursuing certifications toward it. Apart from her passion for physical therapy, Himani is an outgoing person who enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, learning new skills, taking dance or yoga classes, working out, and exploring restaurants.
