About Dr. Hossamalden Albassiouny
Dr. Albassiouny is a licensed physical therapist. He graduated from Cairo University with a master's degree and completed his doctorate in physical therapy (DPT) from Dominican College. Since 2011, Hossam has been practicing physical therapy. He's very passionate about musculoskeletal, spine, and sports-related conditions. He specializes in physical therapy management for temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction, orofacial pain, and upper cervical dysfunction. Hossam also studied manual osteopathy for 3 years. Dr. Albassiouny treats patients for multiple concerns including contusions, muscle strains, tendinitis, spine deformities, jaw pains, cervicogenic headaches, and vestibular rehabilitation. Dr. Albassiouny offers a comforting and relaxed environment for all patients who receive care from him. Hossam prides himself on his ability to aid the patient physically, accommodating for the patient's immediate concerns and pains.

I chose this provider out of location, but after this session that won’t be a priority.
The facility isn’t modern and cramped, with areas separated only by curtains, so privacy isn’t a high concern.
When describing my pain, he wouldn’t let me go into detail, brushing it off with “it’s gonna be ok”. I gave him the benefit of it being a language barrier but he kept cutting me off when I brought up a concerns I have.
We ran through a battery of tests, which he wouldn’t explain before doing and BIGGEST RED FLAG, he wouldn’t give me cues while he left to attended to other clients. While it’s normal to leave a client unattended for periods, he left me there for AWHILE and the session ran passed an hour.
So I finish with little to no understanding what caused my pain and at the end he suggested returning 2-3 times a week(red flag). When asked about exercises to do at home, he just said just do the ones I showed, with no printout.

I can't walk very well because of a sports injury. When I told Hossam about my injury he knew he could help & he did. I did multiple exercises with Hossam during my visits & they pushed me to do better everytime.
