About Dr. Ioannis Anastos
Ioannis (Yanni) is a physical therapist at Fine Line. He holds a bachelor’s degree in health and human physiology from the University of Iowa and a Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Since the start of his career, he has primarily treated patients recovering from orthopedic surgery and those with musculoskeletal conditions such as joint, muscle, and tendon pain.
Yanni’s passion for fitness and the human physique began at a very young age, inspiring him to pursue a career in physical therapy. He believes one of life’s greatest rewards is achieving a fit body and witnessing the transformation process that leads to this accomplishment.
Promoting fitness as a lifestyle and helping patients transform their bodies through fitness have been key motivators for Yanni as a physical therapist. The greatest satisfaction he derives from his work is seeing patients perform tasks they previously could not, thanks to improvements in their fitness. Outside of his professional life, Yanni enjoys playing guitar in his band, lifting weights, and running.

My father has not stopped singing Dr Anastos praises since he was seen. He looks forward to going and his therapy treatment is helping relieve his ongoing pain. Dr. Anastos has great communication with my father and is even able to get an old cranky man smile :)

Dr. Yanni Anastos has been a life saver. He was able to see me last-minute on a Saturday when I injured my neck and was able to provide some immediate pain relief. Since working with him, I’ve been able to recover from injury and focus on building back strength and injury prevention. He’s also been helping correct my posture.
He is very knowledgeable, empathetic, and enjoyable to work with.

I found Yanni to be very kind, professional, and attentive. He was very patient and thorough with his assessment of my back pain and super approachable/accomodating. Ioannis was a godsend and highly recommend him! I was dealing with a really bad back and he helped me tremendously. Along the way he was very patient and took the time to explain things to me very clearly. He showed me with great detail how to do each exercise and broke down why exactly we were doing everything. I hate when I go see a specialist and they make you feel rushed, but that was not the case with Ioannis.
Another thing I appreciated was his general attitude. He was in high spirits and asked questions about my life that made me feel like we generated an authentic relationship. That made me more comfortable talking to him about the nuances of my pain and simply made for an overall better experience.

I’m very satisfied with my visit! I came in with a strained groin where the physical therapist really helped me improve muscle strength back and leg motion. This strain affected me at work and even at the gym. Yanni, the PT, really helped me get back to doing what I love after months of pain. Super knowledgeable aswell as he explained what he was doing and why throughout the sessions!

Not only is he an absolute master of physical therapy, he is also just an all around great guy and a joy to be around.
