“I have been going to Professional PT in Clifton, NJ for several months after a fall left me unable to climb stairs at home. My therapist, Jake Grootenboer was so knowledgeable and explained every aspect of the source of my pain and steps for my treatment. When I experienced a set-back, he found a different approach to take…more than I was getting from the doctors. On the occasions that Jake was not available, the other 3 therapists there were also excellent and attentive. The receptionists and support staff were friendly, helpful and fun to be around. Having been to other PT facilities who barely acknowledged you, I can highly recommend Professional PT in Clifton, NJ.”

About Jake Grootenboer
Jake is a New Jersey State licensed Physical Therapist who has been working with Professional Physical Therapy since 2021 after earning his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Stockton University. Jake graduated from the Professional PT-NYIT Orthopedic Residency Program in 2022 and is an ABPTRFE Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. He has experience treating patients with all musculoskeletal and post-operative conditions. Jake has a special interest in treating neck, shoulder and knee pathologies, as well as return to sport rehabilitation with a focus on soccer, basketball and golf. He also serves as a Mentor in our Clinical Excellence Department and Orthopedic Residency Program, providing education and guidance to physical therapists within our company.

Treated for sciatic nerve issues. Pleased with my results and would ABSOLUTELY suggest Professional PT and Jake to anyone. Pleasant atmosphere and staff, as well.

Professional Physical Therapy has been the best PT facility I could have chosen to help me heal from the nerve pain I had from spinal stenosis . Jake , the PT & Clinical Director gave cutting edge care as well as time & attention to help me heal at the facility as well as designed a home program for me to do that I am very please with the result. The intern Emanuel , aide Jessica are so patient with me & the front desk girls are so kind & caring that I would highly recommend Professional Physical Therapy to anyone !
