About Dr. James Psathas

Growing up, James Psathas was a student athlete at Ridgewood High School. While competing in tennis and basketball, James developed an appreciation for the capabilities of the human body and became interested in understanding the mechanisms by which the body worked. While pursuing his undergraduate degree, James sought to find a profession that combined his interests of science and sports, as well as offered him the opportunity to better the lives of others and develop relationships. James volunteered in a physical therapy clinic and was instantly drawn to the level of care and detail that therapists provided to help patients achieve their goals and increase their quality of life. James graduated Summa Cum Laude from the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology & Health Sciences. He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Delaware. Throughout his education, James has worked with patients of all backgrounds and in various settings, including post-surgical patients in hospitals and patients in outpatient orthopedic therapy. He has learned the importance of prioritizing patient goals and follows through by developing a unique plan of care to match these objectives. James aspires to specialize in manual therapy techniques and earn his Orthopedic Clinical Specialist certification. In his free time, James continues to play tennis and basketball, enjoys playing acoustic and electric guitar, and is an avid New York Yankees and New York Giants fan.
