About Dr. Jamielyn Quinto

Jamielyn Quinto’s passion for physical therapy is deeply rooted in her lifelong connection to sports. As a former high school and collegiate basketball player, and now a head coach for both boys’ and girls’ high school teams, Jamielyn has spent years immersed in athletic performance and development. Her own experiences with sports injuries, combined with her coaching background in basketball, soccer, and football, sparked a strong interest in sports physical therapy - especially in understanding and treating common basketball injuries like jumper’s knee and posterior tibial tendonitis that often stem from recurrent ankle sprains. Jamielyn earned her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from Towson University on a full-ride scholarship and went on to complete her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore. Jamielyn specializes in working with basketball athletes, soccer players, football players, and active individuals who love training and going to the gym. She’s passionate about helping anyone who is willing to put in the work to recover and come back stronger. Outside the clinic, Jamielyn continues to stay involved in youth and high school athletics. She is an AAU basketball coach, a former varsity head coach, and currently serves as a strength coach for a girls' varsity basketball team. She also designs injury prevention programs for high school athletes - bridging the gap between performance training and physical therapy. Jamielyn Quinto is dedicated to helping athletes return to sport with confidence, strength, and a deeper understanding of their bodies. Her combined experience as a player, coach, and clinician allows her to provide comprehensive, sport-specific care with a focus on injury prevention, performance, and long-term success.
