“I started with Professional PT in Hicksville in October following total knee replacement. Facility is very clean and well equipped. Starting at the front desk is Vina, very sweat professional and a pleasure to deal with, always greats me with a smile when I enter & leave. I had the pleasure of dealing with P/T's Jeel, Deirdre & Oliver as well as all the assistants. They are all very professional, extremely knowledgeable on the treatment I needed to be able to continue my active lifestyle.They gave me goals and kept me focused on achieving them, although it takes several months to get there. There were times I felt that I wouldn't reach the goals set for me, but eventually with their positive encouragements, surpassed them considerably to everyones surprise. Range of motion is now the same as my other knee. After completing my knee rehab I also had to do rehab on my hand. Karen Bartlett is the O/T, she is fabulous, knowledgeable & very professional and a pleasure to deal with. I look forward to continuing my P/T with Karen and confident that I will have the same positive results I have had with my knee. Choosing Professional Physical & Hand Therapy of Hicksville was a good choice that I'am glad I made I recommend to anyone needing P/T.”

My passion is to help people perform their regular activities without pain and discomfort. I have learned that there is no single way to treat patients, so throughout my career, I have developed a variety of techniques to best assist them. My educational background includes a Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, a Master's in Public Health from Western Kentucky University with a focus on health education, and a Bachelor's degree from Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth in India.

Jeel was an amazing physical therapist for my herniated cervical discs. She was thorough in her treatment, and gave me the tools to be able to continue my own treatment, empowering me to continue to stay strong past my treatment. I changed PT's after initially having a PT who made me feel very uncomfortable, and I was really glad I did - Jeel was awesome!

Jeel is the best! I switched PT's and am so glad I found Jeel - she is caring and compassionate and really spends time with each patient to help them heal. She gave me exercises to do at home, which really helped speed the process, and the pain I had was relieved so quickly (herniated cervical discs with nerve impingement), I feel like a new person. I also practice yoga and Jeel has been great in encouraging me to keep this up, helping me to know how to approach this in a safe and effective manner. I really can't recommend her more highly - she cares and does an excellent job! Such a difference from other PTs I have encountered.

This was my first visit to Jeel.Great conversation about my ailments,history & general health.
I next learned stretching,then some therapy,all in all I only felt better & better as the session continued.

She is very gentle and caring. She does make sure that you do the exercises well but she will stop if necessary when the exercises get too painful.

I have lived here all my life and could not find the facility. When I made the appt. I was given the address but not told it was really on Pitt St. It took me 1/2 hr. to finally find it. No signs at all. When I entered 460 building the guard did not even know about the P.T. dept. There should be a sign to let people know you need to go to the corner of Pitt down the ramp. I was very frustrated when I arrived due to the fact that I live across the st.
