I'm Dr. Jeff Riffle, a California Licensed Clinical Psychologist living in Northern California. I help clients all across the state through telehealth. I see both individual adults and couples. Let’s talk. My approach I tailor my therapeutic approach to the needs & wants of each client. We may use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Solution-Focused Therapy to help reduce active symptoms and bring you the quickest possible relief. We may use Attachment, Humanistic, Psychodynamic, or Jungian approaches to uncover and heal more deeply rooted concerns. We may work with Mindfulness or Strength-Based techniques to build healthy, life-long habits. You and I will discover the best fit for fulfilling your expectations. I want you to feel better! My focus In the past 15 years, I've worked with a wide range of men and women from many diverse backgrounds. I've had great success treating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, OCD, complex grief, and a variety of life transition challenges. I've worked extensively with clients from the entertainment industry, first responders, and veterans. My communication style I establish a safe, non-judgmental, and inviting space for us to talk. I’ve been, most often, called warm and supportive by my clients. I’d love the opportunity to create that type of environment for you, as well. My journey to mental healthcare Being a therapist is a second career for me. I spent 26 years in the Navy as a medic. I worked as an EMT, did inpatient nursing, worked as a surgical technician, and finally as the sole medical provider, functioning similarly to a Physician’s Assistant, on submarines. As my career progressed, the work I enjoyed most was talking to young Sailors. I found that I have a knack for counseling and it brings me great joy. As my Navy career drew to a close, I finished my bachelor's & master's degrees and then completed my Doctorate following retirement. That path has led me to offer you my services today. I love this work!
