About Dr. Jennifer Luby

Jennifer Luby’s physical therapy journey began as a patient at the Excel Waldwick office. After sustaining a spinal compression fracture during a soccer match, she learned first-hand about the benefits of physical therapy. Jennifer’s physical therapist inspired her to pursue a career in healthcare. Jennifer graduated from college as valedictorian with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Exercise Science from The College of New Jersey. While completing her undergraduate schooling, she had an internship in the varsity athletic weight room and developed an interest in working with higher-level athletes. She went on to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from University of Delaware, one of the best PT programs in the country. During her clinical rotations, she gained experience working with patients of many backgrounds including high level high school and collegiate athletes, weekend warriors, veterans, pediatrics, and patients with limb loss. Her clinical experience affirmed her decision to work in orthopedics and sports. Following her graduation from Delaware, Jennifer received her Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist Certification (CSCS) to enhance her understanding and instruction of advanced exercise prescription and techniques. Jennifer loves to work with people of all ages and backgrounds, getting them motivated and inspired to work towards their goals as well as help reduce their pain. Furthermore, she plans to become an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) to continue to learn and stay up to date on the best current practices. She hopes to one day become a clinical instructor and mentor physical therapy students, like the instructors she had. Outside of the clinic Jennifer loves to stay active and enjoys lifting weights, hiking, running, spending time with friends and family, and walking her dog, Nala!
