About Jillian Vassallo

My interest in physical therapy began in high school and throughout college as I needed treatment for many sports injuries playing soccer for the University of Delaware. Throughout my time there, my interest and love for the field of physical therapy grew. As I put my faith in physical therapists to get me back on the field, I knew this would be a fun and challenging profession where I could help make a difference in people's lives. I received a Bachelor of Science and majored in Exercise Science during my four years at UD. From there, I received my Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from New York University where I enhanced my education and clinical skills in PT. At NYU I gained hands on experience in acute care, inpatient rehab for patients with neurological disorders, and outpatient orthopedics with a sports focus. I also was able to observe and gain a general knowledge from master clinicians specializing in pelvic floor, cardiopulmonary, pediatric, and outpatient neuro rehabilitation. I am happy to have started my journey at Professional Physical Therapy in Edison, NJ. It is such a welcoming and family-oriented office where we work together to create high quality, evidence-based, and patient centered care.
