About Jillian Vassallo

Jillian Vassallo, PT, DPT, OCS, serves as the Clinical Director at Professional Physical Therapy in New Brunswick, NJ. She is passionate about providing individualized, evidence-based care that empowers patients to return to the activities they love with confidence. With more than two and a half years of clinical experience, Jillian specializes in treating orthopedic injuries, sports-related conditions, and post-operative rehabilitation. Jillian earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University of Delaware in 2020, where she was a four-year Division I student-athlete on the women's soccer team. Her experiences as a collegiate athlete fueled her passion for human movement, injury prevention, and rehabilitation, ultimately leading her to pursue a career in physical therapy. She went on to earn her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from New York University in 2023. Most recently, Jillian achieved board certification as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS), a distinction held by a select group of physical therapists who have demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and expertise in orthopedic physical therapy. She is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and is certified in LSVT BIG, an evidence-based treatment program designed to improve movement and function in individuals living with Parkinson's disease. Jillian's clinical interests include orthopedic physical therapy, sports medicine, return-to-sport rehabilitation, injury prevention, and performance optimization. She enjoys working with athletes and active individuals of all ages, as well as helping patients recover from surgery and overcome musculoskeletal injuries. Her treatment philosophy combines hands-on care, individualized exercise programming, strength and conditioning principles, and patient education to help each person achieve meaningful, long-lasting results.
