About John Rivas

If you are booking an appointment and you have Husky insurance, please note that we are only in network with this insurance when the patient is below 21. John Rivas is a Physical Therapist with almost 20 years of experience. He took his Bachelors in the Philippines and continued with a Doctorate Degree at the University of Montana. He works with sports injury patients, post op cases, geriatrics and the weekend warriors. In helping his patients get better, he has various skill sets and certifications like Graston technique, Kinesio Taping, MET, MAPS (Maitland–Australia Physiotherapy Seminars), SFMA Level 1, NeuroKinetic Therapy Level 1 and Kettlebell Concepts Level 1 Instructor. He strongly believes in a solid Home Exercises Program and Patient education. “In order for a physical therapy intervention to be effective, one must be committed and consistent with the treatment program and perform their HEP daily. It matters what you do when you get home after your PT visit.” In his free time, John loves to work out and run in Prospect Park, play with his 2 dogs, 4 cats and frogs.

This PT and staff is very thorough, knowledgable and explained all details. I suffer from lower back issues and feel that they know what they are doing with treatment. I started to feel better after my first appointment. Will definitely return for all follow up appointments.
Great Physical Therapist. I had even gone somewhere else first for a few weeks to get a sense of the range of possibilities and his level of expertise, ability and demeanor far exceeded others even a block away. Definitely go here.
