“This man is the GOAT of all physical therapists. He has helped me through MANY different injuries and problems I've had. As a hyperactive sports and gym guy, I've had injuries ranging from the knee, shoulder, hip, and forearms. His extensive physical therapy knowledge coupled with his caring mindset and diligence to fully diagnose the problem is a dangerously effective combo that has helped "cure" me through many of these injuries. I'm still going to him for my hip now but if I didn't have him, I'm pretty sure I would have a lot more issues right now/probably wouldn't be able to maintain anything remotely close to the sports and physical activity I do today. Joren is a BLESSING to society ”

And he send me some video to do at home. And I highly recommend him to friends and other patients.”

About Joren Francisco
Joren Francisco is a dedicated and compassionate physical therapist with expertise in pediatrics, neurologic conditions, and orthopedic injuries for dancers and runners. He has extensive clinical experience treating a range of conditions, including spinal cord injuries, limb loss, running injuries, and various neurological diagnoses. Joren has a special interest in pediatrics and is also a Certified Personal Trainer. His clinical work has fueled his passion for serving the neurological pediatric population, and he is committed to providing high-quality, equitable care for underserved pediatric patients.
Joren earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Columbia University. During his time there, he participated in the prestigious Columbia Runlab and chose the Advanced Neurological Rehabilitation Track, gaining valuable experience in specialty clinics for acute stroke, multiple sclerosis, ALS, and rehab medicine. He also served as class social chair and took elective courses in performing arts, foot and ankle, pelvic floor, vestibular rehab, and medical Spanish. Additionally, Joren was a member of the Columbia Sports Research Team, presenting research on "Transverse Plane Kinematics in Lightweight Rowers: The Hips Don’t Lie."
Joren's journey to physical therapy is both inspiring and unique. Originally a musical theatre major at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Los Angeles, he faced a significant personal challenge when he developed Bell’s Palsy. This experience, combined with an injury he sustained while working as a performer at the Disneyland Resort in California, led him to seek physical therapy treatment. This exposure to performing arts physical therapy ignited his passion for the field and set him on a new career path.
Joren enjoys exploring the city with his cat, Ivy, reading, discovering new food spots with friends, and listening to music by Charli XCX and Taylor Swift.

Great session, he listened to my concerns w/o bias on judgement, was warm & friendly and very helpful with advice. He was knowledgeable and relatable about not only my injury but also my daily activities and other classes/fitness routines, and was able to impart good, immediately useful advice to help me improve not only my exercises but also my everyday.

I have had 3 visits so far with Joren & he's very knowledgeable in this area and has given me techniques that have eased much of my pain. Joren is also great to work with as he's very enthusiastic about assisting ; relieving his patients from pain & that helps take my mind off the pain. He definitely adds to the quality of therapists that keeps me coming back to optum specifically 23rd street office.

Joren is so wonderful! He makes me feel very comfortable and relaxed. But he pushes me physically just enough that I feel the progress after each visit. I have loved my PT experienced with him! I very much recommend!
