He believes we all have aspirations in life, which may be career goals, relief of everyday distress, control over addictions, or fulfillment in relationships. You and he will work toward optimizing your potential to accomplish your life goals, as well as recognizing and relinquishing patterns that inflict further suffering. Dr. Yuen utilizes an eclectic psychotherapeutic approach tailored to your individual situation, informed by a multitude of schools of thought including CBT, Eastern philosophy, existential psychotherapy, and psychoanalysis.
Dr. Yuen completed his psychiatry residency in NYC at St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital Center and a clinical fellowship in psychosomatic medicine at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center/Weill Cornell Medical Center. He has completed one year of psychodynamic training at the NY Psychoanalytic Institute. He is board certified in psychiatry and psychosomatic medicine, and is currently on staff at St. Luke's_Roosevelt Hospital Center.
