The provider is a Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern. *After booking, you will receive a link via IntakeQ so you can complete required intake forms prior to your appointment* I specialize in working with individuals experiencing differing severity levels of anxiety and depression, as well as those who are managing ADHD symptoms. I also have extensive experience working with people navigating chronic illness (including PCOS, obesity, chronic fatigue, and more), women’s health issues, unique presentations of OCD, PMDD, addiction within their family systems, grief, and life transitions. I have experience working with adults, college students, and individuals from the LGBTQ+ community. I believe in whole-person care that is evidence-based and genuinely human. My first position as an Advanced Clinical Fellow with Manhattan Wellness was an incredible opportunity to build my therapy toolbox and support my clients as they navigated both challenges and successes. What I found most meaningful was the opportunity, as their provider, to support them through building their own therapy toolboxes and navigating life’s harder moments, while also being their biggest cheerleader. That internship allowed me the flexibility to utilize many different modalities and supportive measures to tailor treatment plans and sessions to exactly what each client needed. I also loved the opportunities I had to bring creativity into sessions when helpful, in addition to creating workbooks and activities focused on values exploration and self-esteem. The experience only strengthened my passion for grounded, bespoke, and relational mental healthcare. The provider is a “Licensed Social Worker" and is currently working under the supervision of a licensed practitioner. Their current employer is Rivia Mind.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach is warm, collaborative, flexible, and humanistic. It's important to me that therapy feels accessible and grounded, and that you feel comfortable being exactly who you are in this space. No matter what we are tackling, we will work as a team as you explore and grow within the therapy room. I show up as myself so that you feel comfortable doing so as well. I truly believe that your voice is important and empowering, so we will work together to tailor a treatment plan specifically for you while making adjustments as needed along the way. Overall, my goal is to ensure that you feel as though our sessions are a true safe space. I draw from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and supportive measures. In CBT, we examine the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to identify patterns and practice new skills that can reduce symptoms and support daily functioning. With DBT, we build skills in emotion regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness to help navigate intense feelings and relationships. In ACT, we practice accepting internal experiences, clarifying personal values, and taking committed action toward what matters, even when difficult thoughts or emotions show up. With mindfulness, we use present-moment awareness to notice experiences with less judgment and more steadiness. I am passionate about the fact that mental healthcare looks different for everybody, and that tailored approaches for each particular client are incredibly important for success. Further, therapy should be collaborative. You are the expert in your own life, and your voice should be respected in the therapy space just as much as the clinician's. Often, these diagnoses or challenges can bring frustration, overwhelm, or the feeling of not knowing where to start or how to move forward. My goal for therapy is to help you understand and process challenges,

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our sessions will feel grounded, conversational, and collaborative at every step. In our first meetings, we’ll talk about what brings you in, what you hope will feel different, and what support looks like for you right now. Together, we’ll outline an initial plan that fits your life, so you can begin building your own therapy toolbox. I understand that therapy can feel scary, uncomfortable, or intimidating at times. We’ll work together to make sure it’s a comfortable and safe space for you to explore and grow. You don’t have to navigate this journey alone. I’m here to be a helpful and empowering hand as you set out on your therapy journey.
