About Dr. Julie Roy

Dr. Julie Roy is a dedicated physical therapist with a profound commitment to promoting pain free movement across orthopedic and neurologic populations. She earned her Doctorate degree from Carroll University in 2018 and has since acquired certifications in functional Dry Needling, as well as LSVT (Lee Silverman Voice Treatment) BIG, a specialized program designed to enhance MOVEMENT in individuals with Parkinson’s Disease and other neurologic disorders. Dr. Roy’s expertise extends to the management of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, where she utilizes evidence based techniques to alleviate pain and restore function of the jaw. In addition to her clinical specialties, Julie is a certified Pilates instructor through the National Pilates Certification Program, integrating Pilates into her therapeutic approach to enhance strength, flexibility, and overall WELLNESS. She is also passionate about working with weekend warriors, focusing on injury prevention and performance optimization through tailored rehabilitation programs. Dr. Roy’s holistic and patient-centered approach reflects her dedication to empowering individuals to ACHIEVE their health and fitness goals. Julie is a resident of Barrington and enjoys trying new restaurants, seeing live music, and being active outside with her two children, young pup, and husband :)
