Kandis graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry. She earned her Master's in Physical Therapy from Texas Woman's University and her Doctor of Physical Therapy from UTMB Health - University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. With over 18 years of experience, she specializes in treating children with neurological and musculoskeletal disorders. Kandis also serves as the Director of the Discovery Ministry for children and adults with special needs at West Conroe Baptist Church. Since 2011, she has traveled to Haiti, bringing wheelchairs and other mobility equipment to children with special needs, educating Haitians to implement physical therapy programs in local orphanages, and spending time with the children of Zantan Lakay and Hand Up Global Missions. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Steve, and their children, Allison, Ashley, and Rett, while exploring new cultures.
