About Dr. Karine Grajales

Karine Grajales, DPT, received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Andrews University in 2011. Karine's athletic background as a dancer and personal trainer fueled her passion for a career focused on the recovery process of athletic injuries. She combines her love for dance and fitness with healing. Her interest in physical therapy began when, as a personal trainer, she encountered limitations working with clients who had suffered injuries. This inspired her to return to school to not only help clients achieve their personal fitness goals but also to assist them in rehabilitating and staying active during their healing process. Her motto in life is ?movement is medicine.? Karine has worked in various outpatient settings throughout her career and has treated numerous conditions, including pre/post-operative rehab, repetitive stress injuries, pelvic floor dysfunction, permanent physical disabilities, and gait imbalance issues. Rather than focusing solely on isolated injuries, Karine's approach to rehabilitation emphasizes helping patients understand their movement patterns and how these affect their injuries. She enjoys educating and connecting with her patients, providing each one with individualized care. When not working, Karine enjoys outdoor cycling, weightlifting, and traveling.
