About Dr. Kathryn Meibers

Dr. Katie Meibers PT, DPT, OCS, COMT is a staff physical therapist at our Woodlawn location. She earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Northwestern University and her undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University in Health Sciences with a minor in business. Dr. Meibers is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) as well as the Ohio Physical Therapy Association (OPTA). Dr. Meibers has ten years of clinical experience treating patients in outpatient orthopedic settings. She is trained in Geoffrey Maitland's approach to manual physical therapy and is a certified orthopedic manual therapist (COMT). She utilizes a hands-on approach in addition to functional exercise to help patients achieve their goals. She believes each patient should be treated with an individualized approach to address their specific needs. She enjoys treating spine injuries and sports medicine, specifically runners. She is able to provide running gait video analysis to assess runners' biomechanics and improve their efficiency while running. Dr. Meibers plans on taking courses in women's health this spring and other new treatment techniques to further expand her knowledge and skillset.
