Katie displayed irresponsible and unprofessional behavior.
1. Unacceptable communication: Katie confirmed the appointment and told me she needed to confirm my insurance information. I immediately uploaded verifying documents. She was responsible for verifying the information, either finding or not finding a problem with it, and communicating that. I did not receive any further communication. I also received a text & email from Zocdoc confirming my appointment.
I showed up for my session, one carved out in a hectic week, also affecting schedules of other people.
2. Lack of responsibility: I called her office three times and on the third call, she picked up. It seemed like she just woke up, and I had to ask the questions and explain the situation. She acted without any responsibility, also asking me to rebook with her, without even an apology for her lack of follow-up and follow-through. A complete disrespect of the patient and their time. This is truly unacceptable behavior.
