“I've been seeing Katie for three months, both before and after surgery on my meniscus and ACL, and she has been a blessing. She is knowledgable and attentive, being sure to ask how I'm doing and adjusting my program accordingly. I also work with Stephanie, and she and Katie are caring and competent, with personalities that make going to therapy something to look forward to. They've made such a positive impact on my recovery, which has been incredibly smooth. The entire Professional PT team - including the front desk - is kind, helpful, and capable, and I'm always excited and grateful to work with Katie, Stephanie, and the rest of the staff!”

About Katie Marsman

Katie received her bachelor's degree in Biology from SUNY Potsdam in 2016 and went on to receive a doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Boston University in 2019.
Katie has been an athlete and involved in ice hockey and softball since the age of 8. She played ice hockey and softball through college, graduate school, and currently plays and coaches youth ice hockey for the Islanders Girls Elite travel hockey program. Her personal experience, education, and training give her a unique insight into the special rehabilitative needs of ice hockey players, throwing athletes, and athletes at all levels.
Katie began her career in physical therapy with Professional Physical therapy at the Hewlett, NY location in 2019 and worked there for 2 years before moving to Professional's Garden City location. She continues to be active in the community by coaching youth sports while working as an orthopedic physical therapist.
