“Without awareness we are not truly alive” – James Bugental Hello! My name is Kevin Barr. I’ve been practicing therapy for over 10 years. I have a MA in counseling psychology and BA in psychology/minor in music.
I specialize in all forms of trauma and have been formally trained in trauma focused CBT. I am a default helper as well as a meticulous problem-solver.
I have experience treating depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, ADHD, bipolar disorders, interpersonal conflict, dual diagnoses, and LGBTQ+ issues, among others.
I approach therapy with the understanding that you are the expert of your own life, I’m just here to guide you to the place you already know how to get to. I generally use a combination of ACT, CBT and solution focused therapies in my practice.
I’ll tell you what you need to hear, with an empathetic tone, for the sole purpose of helping you.
