Prior to his graduate program, he received a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in chemistry from the University of Washington in Seattle. His Doctorate program provided him with a strong background in manual therapy and extensive training in the evaluation of musculoskeletal injuries. Throughout his Doctorate program, Dr. Kevin enjoyed playing recreational soccer, surfing, and working as a teaching assistant and tutor for the spinal manipulation courses. He has taken advanced courses in orthopedic physical therapy including Advanced Evaluation and Manipulation of Pelvis, Lumbar, and Thoracic Spine, Cervical, and Upper Thoracic Spine; Functional Analysis and Management of the Lumbo-Pelvic-Hip Complex; and Myofascial Manipulation. Although his background is in orthopedic manual therapy, Dr. Kevin utilizes numerous treatment techniques including myofascial decompression (cupping), pin and stretch, active muscle pumping, muscle energy, trigger point release, and exercise-based interventions. Dr. Kevin grew up in Seattle, Washington where he developed his passion for the outdoors. He has been an avid snowboarder for twenty-two years and has always been a multi-sport enthusiast. Having participated in sports for most of his life including soccer, football, baseball, and tennis, Dr. Kevin enjoys working with athletes of all ages. He uses his experience working with patients in a variety of settings including acute care, acute rehabilitation, neurological rehabilitation, and vestibular rehabilitation to provide individualized treatment plans with a focus on return to meaningful activities and optimal function.
