Psychologist
CA
Hi there, I'm Kimberly! My name is Kim Legh-Page, and I am a licensed psychologist in California with a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University. My approach to therapy is based on the belief that, while individuals may not be at fault for the various problems and symptoms they face, they are responsible for how they respond to those challenges and how they grow from them. As a psychologist, my role is to help patients identify the direction they want their lives to take and to compassionately guide them in that process. I have primarily worked with adults, veterans, and law enforcement individuals who have suffered from PTSD, depression, anxiety, issues of grief, relationship challenges, and substance abuse. My approach My approach to therapy is tailored to the specific needs of the individual, depending on what is happening in their life at the moment. I adopt a client-centered approach, focusing on helping individuals increase their adaptability and psychological flexibility through Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT). Additionally, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral approaches such as Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Behavioral Activation, all of which are well-established, evidence-based treatments for PTSD, depression, and anxiety. I also incorporate Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help clients develop skills for improving their responses in relationships and face life's challenges with perseverance. My focus I believe my approach can benefit adults at every stage of their lives. Having worked with older adolescents, young, middle-aged, and elderly adults, I’ve witnessed the unique challenges that each of them faces. I understand that everyone carries their own set of values, short-term goals, and long-term dreams. My commitment is to meet my clients exactly where they are, with compassion and understanding, as we explore together how they can regain a sense of control and empowerment in their lives.
