He then completed his psychiatric residency at Charles Drew University College of Medicine in Los Angeles, where he served as Chief Resident from 1999 to 2000. He also has specialized training in geriatrics. Additionally, he has been involved in several research projects as a principal investigator, especially in the area of Alzheimer's disease and other neurocognitive disorders.
