About Dr. Lauren Carter

I earned my undergraduate degree in Neuroscience with a minor in Kinesiology from the University of Texas at Austin (Hook ’em!). After completing my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Northwestern University, I decided to stay in the incredible city of Chicago; however, Las Vegas will always be my home. With clinical experience in sports medicine and post-operative rehabilitation—particularly ACL reconstruction and meniscal repair—I have developed a passion for helping individuals not only recover, but exceed their baseline function. I am especially interested in integrating my background in Neuroscience and mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) clinical research with physical therapy to optimize rehabilitation. Outside the clinic, I enjoy playing indoor and beach volleyball, cooking, and photography, often capturing moments and noting down recipes from my travels. I pride myself on working with my patients—learning about their unique goals, activities, and motivations—to design individualized treatment plans that empower them throughout recovery.
