I believe that therapy is the gift that you can give yourself. As a therapist, I take a client-centered, collaborative approach. Each session will focus on your values, tailoring each session to your personalized goals. I specialize in navigating life transitions, trauma, anxiety, and depression. The most important thing to me is that you feel safe and respected for who you are in the therapeutic space. My approach I utilize an integrative approach that brings strategies from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Person-Centered approach. This means that I will always meet you where you are at, explore your thoughts and feelings, and identify your values and beliefs in order to support you in meeting your personalized goals. My question will always be what happened to you. My focus Your goals will be our goals. My focus in treatment is to identify what is important to you and how to help you move forward with intent and action. I work with adolescents, young adults, and adults who are facing life transitions, symptoms of anxiety or depression, or effects from their lived experiences. We will work together to make your goals feel achievable, specific to you, and attainable. My communication style Creating an environment where you feel safe and respected is important. My communication style is open, clear, and respectful. As I am always continuing to grow and learn, I create an environment that is open to feedback. My journey to mental healthcare I have always been curious about people. I am a naturally born helper. As I went through my graduate training, I learned how my values of authenticity and compassion were important to the therapeutic relationship. As I continued into my doctoral training, I continued to learn how advocacy and a values-based approach were essential to the therapeutic process.
