Lee-Anne Gray, LCP

Psychologist
CA
Hi there, I'm Lee-Anne! With warmth and sincerity, I welcome people who seek to heal wounds of the past and achieve peak levels of performance. I have expertise in the areas of trauma, LGBTQ+, and BIPOC. Additionally, I am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR.) My approach My approach to therapy is person-centered and flexible. I primarily use EMDR accompanied by parts work and skills building. This approach is highly flexible and attachment-based. My focus Generally, I work with people who have anxiety, depression, work stress, and trauma. Within the LGBTQ+ community, I treat people who are trans, non-binary, gay, and lesbian. My communication style The tone of my therapy sessions is focused on finding solutions, developing skills, healing trauma, and understanding the spectrum of trauma from slights, humiliation, failures, embarrassment, grief/tragic loss, bullying, workplace harassment, sexual harassment/assault, abuse, natural disasters, and medical problems. It is also customized to the individual's needs and involves lightheartedness. My journey to mental healthcare My journey to becoming a psychologist began with neuroscience research and an undergraduate degree in physiological psychology. Once that concluded, I realized I was still curious about psychology, specifically clinical psychology. I remain curious about people and a lifelong learner. My goals for you Goal setting is a collaborative approach that follows seamlessly from the intake and history-gathering process. Before interventions begin, informed consent is obtained. My first session with you In the first session, your treatment needs will be assessed with formal questions. The risk of suicide and homicide will be assessed, as well as Intimate Partner Violence if in a relationship. Treatment recommendations will be offered. And, laws and office policies will be reviewed. There will be ample time to share whatever is on your heart.
