Leena Nathan graduated with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University in California in March 2017. She joins Active Physical therapy with 6 years of experience in clinical practice in areas of physical dysfunction and disabilities such as neurological disorders, intensive care, major joint replacements, neck and back pain, gait disturbances and preventative geriatrics. She understands that medical education is an ongoing process and continues to supplement her education and clinical experience with courses such as Kinesiotaping and Dry needling to add as an adjunct in her treatment skills. She continues to explore evidence-based articles and enriches her knowledge with this professional education. Leena finds great satisfaction in encountering patients who are regaining the ability to function at home, work or on the field. She evaluates and treats with a whole-body approach that combines knowledge and understanding of localized anatomy and function within the context of full body structure, function and movement patterns. She works to restore compromised mobility, strength, stability and movement patterning with a variety of manual techniques, active modalities, progressive exercise, and education. She enjoys being outdoors, spending time with family and friends, traveling and also has taken up painting and running in her spare time.
