About Dr. Lindsay Peters

Dr. Lindsay Peters is a recent graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook's Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. She also attended SUNY Stony Brook for her undergraduate studies, earning a B.S. in Health Science with a minor in Disabilities. During her time there, she was a Division One athlete on the university's women's swim team. Throughout her graduate studies in physical therapy, Dr. Lindsay developed a strong interest in orthopedic rehabilitation and plans to pursue certification in this specialty in the near future. Dr. Lindsay's desire to become a physical therapist began in high school after a swimming injury required therapy, allowing her to witness firsthand the success and rehabilitation physical therapy can provide. Following her experience as a patient, she volunteered at various outpatient orthopedic clinics and hospital settings. One of her most memorable experiences was at Stony Brook University, where she volunteered for over four years in the Adaptive Aquatics program, working with children with physical and cognitive disabilities. Seeing the improvement in their quality of life inspired her to bring that same level of excellent patient care to individuals of all ages. In her free time, Dr. Lindsay enjoys an active lifestyle by working out at the gym, participating in spin classes, traveling, going to the beach, and spending time with family and friends. She is excited to begin her career here at Monmouth Pain and Rehabilitation and believes their passion for wellness and focus on 5-star service is truly unmatched.
