About Dr. Mansoo Kim
Mansoo Kim, DPT, is the clinical director of CHA PHYSICAL THERAPY P.C. II, located in Chinatown, New York City, since May of 2019. He graduated from Yong-In University in South Korea in 2004, majoring in Physical Therapy. He worked at Bobath Memorial Hospital Bundang, Korea, for four years as a physical therapist. To face further challenges and broaden his opportunities, he came to the U.S. and acquired his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2012 at Dominican College in New York.
Dr. Kim is a dedicated healthcare provider passionate about his knowledge and expertise in rehabilitation. He is skilled in planning, organizing, and directing programs for the care of individuals disabled by injury, accident, or physical challenges.
Always eager to expand his knowledge and scope of practice, Dr. Kim earned a Master's in Acupuncture from New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and became a licensed acupuncturist. Dr. Kim stated, ?I grew up in South Korea where acupuncture and herbs are the first methods to treat acute conditions. Now, I practice an ?East meets West' two-method system, and I have seen a synergetic effect for better results.?
Dr. Kim combines various techniques to care for his patients, including trigger point acupuncture, cupping, tuina, manual therapy, joint mobilization, and therapeutic exercise. With his background in Physical Therapy, his treatments go well beyond a standard acupuncture visit, offering ?the best of both worlds.? That said, patients seeking traditional acupuncture will receive exactly what they desire.
He specializes in neuromuscular and orthopedic conditions such as post-stroke rehabilitation, pre- and post-surgical care, as well as treating acute and chronic musculoskeletal disorders and sports injuries.

Recent physical injury brought me to Dr. Kim's care and he created a regime of physical therapy for my ailments. He restored my mobility and made my pains disappear. Combination of manual therapy with Accupuncture allowed me to reach a new level of physical strength. I'd recommend Dr. Mansoo Kim to anyone in need of physical therapy.
