About Dr. Mark Samaan
I have been a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy since 2018 after earning my doctorate from Touro University. I chose this profession because I am passionate about helping people recover from injuries, improve their quality of life, and return to the activities they enjoy most. Over the years, I have treated patients throughout all five boroughs of New York City, gaining extensive experience in orthopedic and post-surgical rehabilitation. What I love most about being a physical therapist is building lasting relationships with my patients and helping them achieve their goals through personalized care. Today, I am proud to bring the expertise and patient-centered approach of Beach NY Physical Therapy to my hometown of Staten Island, where I look forward to serving my community and helping patients move better, feel better, and live healthier lives.

Had a rib injury and he helped me out to the letter. Young, upbeat, new age physical therapists that gave me exercises that actually worked. For the the Jiu Jiitsu practitioners out there as well he knows his stuff.

Appointment time/date kept getting changed. Felt like I was being upsold for Botox and less conservative treatments for a relatively minor issue. They also advertised that they were in network for my insurance, but only told me they weren’t after I arrived. Will not be returning.

It has taken me a long time to make up my mind to see him, because I had no idea about physical therapist. The result was satisfactory; his explanation was understandable. His treatment made sense.

Mark is fantastic! I came back a few times for treatment and plan to continue coming back. Mark explains everything he does and gives homework to ensure the continuation of the treatment in-between visits. His bedside manner is great. He LOVES his job and is very knowledgeable.

I’ve been dealing with a back injury/rib pain for 8 years now. After seeing several doctors, none of them took the time to figure out what was going on. Then I met Dr. Mark Samann.
The best way I can describe him is the “Dr. House” of physical therapy. He likes to problem solve and won’t let you leave until he’s figured it out. Even if it means bringing in the rest of his team. He takes as much time as he needs to not only diagnose your problem but get to know you and the lifestyle you live.
I HIGHLY recommend him.

Dr. Mark (and his partner Dr. Mike) are wonderful! They saw me together and worked on me for at least an hour to an hour and a half (but it felt like 5 mins, in a good way.) I'd been having terrible neck spasms that left me in pain all the time, but I left there being able to turn my neck for the first time in weeks! They talked me through every exercise and procedure, and listened to every symptom/issue I had. For the first time in ages, it felt like a doctor was actually listening to me! We worked out a a tentative plan of action, and I plan on seeing them on an ongoing manner. I'm so glad I found them, so I guess I owe Zocdoc a huge thank you.
