About Mary Rectenwald
Mary is currently serving as a Physical Therapist and Office Manager at The PT Group Physical Therapy, where she treats pre- and post-surgical as well as non-surgical orthopedic conditions, vertigo, balance issues, post-CVA, post-cancer/illness recovery, athletic injuries, auto accidents, and work-related injuries. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from Louisiana State University. Mary has been a NATA Certified Athletic Trainer for 34 years, with experience as a head athletic trainer at both the high school and collegiate levels. Her previous clinical and aquatic rehabilitation work includes treating amateur, professional, and Olympic athletes across a wide range of sports, from rodeo to professional boxing and everything in between. Her background in Health and Physical Education Teaching and Administration has provided a strong foundation for developing rehabilitation programs focused on the total health and well-being of her patients, taking into account their personal goals as well as the primary objective of returning them to as close to their pre-injury or illness status as possible.

Im so glad I made the choice to go to PTI for my physical therapy. I was depressed that I couldnt do minor things without severe pain in just moving, I have gained back movement so I don't feel so disabled!

Very knowledgeable as to what the cause is with my stiffness in my neck. Have had 3 appointments so-far and the therapy looks to be treating the problem. There is improvement in my condition, and the future treatments should alleviate my problem.

The physical therapy I received has helped me quite a bit due to some strengthening exercises. It has also calmed the sciatic nerve going down into the left hip, into upper & lower leg and tingling sensations.

I believe my evaluation was comprehensive, and many does a good job at explaining what's going on. I've had little to no wait time, and feel the focus is most on my treatment and getting better, which is exactly what I want.
