“I just completed the physical therapy part of my healing from a car accident in May 2024. I had broken my radius and ulnar bones in several places and subsequently developed a very rare condition called CRPS. My entire shoulder, arm, wrist and hand had pretty much frozen. Max at PPT understood my condition and helped me to regain the movement in my shoulder. As CRPS causes severe nerve pain, he was able to modify my exercises to not exacerbate the nerve pain, and still help to release my shoulder. Everyone at PPT was wonderful. They were professional, easy to schedule appointments with, and they made it a fun and friendly atmosphere. Leaving was bittersweet. I will miss everyone there, but I'm happy that I can move my right shoulder again. Thank you Max, and everyone at PPT Merrick.”

About Max Villatoro

I completed both my undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the State University of New York at Buffalo, where I earned my Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Following that, I completed an additional year of outpatient residency with Professional Physical Therapy. I chose to pursue Physical Therapy because it is one of the most rewarding professions out there. The one-on-one time we get with patients is something I truly cherish. As a result, we build a strong bond. Seeing YOU succeed and reach YOUR goals will always be an amazing feeling for me. Another passion of mine is helping the Spanish-speaking community through Physical Therapy. It’s no secret that the Spanish-speaking community is underrepresented because there aren’t many Hispanic or Spanish-speaking therapists in our field. I am proud to be one of the few and to be able to serve the Hispanic community.
