Hi there, I'm Meriam! I'm a Licensed Psychologist in Massachusetts and Florida. I earned my PsyD in School Psychology from Nova Southeastern University, where I also completed my Master's in Psychology. I have worked with diverse populations across various settings, including schools, community mental health clinics, hospitals, foster care organizations, and nursing homes. I provide a comprehensive approach to mental health involving coordinated care with psychiatrists, neuropsychologists, teachers, social workers, physicians, mental health counselors, and legal/allied health professionals. I have a particular interest in treating trauma and offering alternative therapeutic methods. My approach I utilize a Client-Centered and Analytic approach to psychotherapy, emphasizing helping individuals gain awareness, insight, and acceptance with the goal of personal growth and integration of the self. I practice compassionate, individualized care, providing a safe space for clients to explore their inner worlds and navigate life's challenges. Through empathy and understanding, I help clients grow and empower them to embark on their journey toward mental well-being. My focus I work with adults and older adults. I typically treat anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, mood disorders, trauma and stress-related disorders, adjustment disorders, neurodivergent disorders, social/cultural/relational issues, and women's issues. My communication style I create a safe space with openness and understanding for all my clients. It is vital for me to foster a strong client-therapist relationship built on trust and respect. I also incorporate my knowledge of cultural, social, and spiritual factors important to each client. With avid listening and genuine care, I work with my clients to achieve their goals.
