“He’s a great Dr. . . My little brother very recently committed suicide & I haven’t been doing very good, & ever since I moved here I haven’t had very good luck finding a Dr, especially 1 that understands the meds I need. I was diagnosed with High Functioning Anxiety Disorder about 8 or 9 years ago & i have hard time even leaving my house most of the time bcuz of it unless I’m taking the medication I’m supposed to be taking. So the Dr that I had in Nevada referred him to me & I was able to see him right away. The only negative thing is he doesn’t except my insurance so I have to pay the full amount & I’ve been having a hard time figuring out how to get him payments because we’re in different towns from 1 another. But other than that he’s great.”

He also shares stories about his interactions with two U.S. Presidents and much more, including answers to questions from a popular website. The book is available on Amazon.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Currently I am only seeing patients remotely but I have a good video connection. I will want to speak with you briefly on the phone before we confirm out appointment and I will call you when I am notified that you have made an appointment

What is your typical process for working with clients?

During the first visit I will take a complete history of the past as well as what you are going through at present. We will work out a treatment plan that may include talking therapy and or medication. Some patient may be seeing another therapist for psychotherapy and just be seeing me periodically for medication and others will see me for psychotherapy or psychotherapy plus medication

Bloomingfield is a Very very hard worker and did for me what 13 years and literally 16+ PsychoAnalysts could not! My insurance would not pay despite ZocDoc saying there was a high chance it would be accepted but Dr.Bloomingfield assured me if I could somehow pay cash I would be a new Guy! I spent about my whole paycheck for 1.5 weeks of work, which renders me eating TopRamen and water for a little bit but I am now happier than I ever thought possible! I was really worried that he would take my money and try RePrescribing Antidepressants I have already tried like other Psychologists in the past had done multiple times to me at my dismay... But he comforted me and promised I would be fixed. There is a reason Dr.Bloomenfield popped up first in my List. He is the Hero of the Meek, He is like the Japanimation character Sesshomeru off of Inuyasha... an evil dog halfhumanhalfdemon who's Sword made from his Large Demon Father's Fang can bring the dead back to life with one slash.

Dr. Bloomingfield is a high quality psychiatrist. He listens to understand and seeks to identify meaningful, helpful and appropriate treatments. He made me feel understood and he was also quite helpful. I would see him again!

Not the doctor for me. Wanted to keep me drugged all day, left me feeling worse than before the call and wants to charge a lot because he “listened” out and just wanted to charge more to prescribe medication with no real advice except for you need drugs and therapy… wanted to charge me a ridiculous amount to prescribe medication that last 12 hrs a day. Also please note that his form of payment was not through the app but direct…. Sketchy…

It's been my first initial appointment, therefore my first meeting with him. Dr. Blumenfield is very professional, and MOST importantly has experience and guides well in treatment and giving best recommendations from what he's seen in his practice. First time a doctor asked me questions related to what I think and asking my input in treatment. Very hopeful about future visits and becoming more informed and involved in my own treatment, something I realize I should have been active in since day 1.

This was my first meeting with a psychiatrist. I was nervous about it. However, he made me feel comfortable. It was like having a conversation with a friend. I highly recommend him.

Dr Blumenfield was very professional and took the time to find the right med for me to try. I did not feel rushed and he was very knowledgeable.

    Wonderful, straightforward, helpful.
Dr. Blumenfield was extremely helpful, clear and communicative and transparent in his methods. I really liked the options he gave me for treatment and could tell he had my best interests at heart.
Did not take my previous medications for granted, instead looked at them with a critical eye to assist me in finding the best combination for me
    Great. I highly recommend
Made appointment for my daughter, He opened up another time period for us at 8Am on a Saturday because the time slot we requested was taken, pretty much straight forward, took the time to explain and listen to concerns and made us both feel at ease with his prognosis! He has a very nice home office, and you can tell that he is a Dr with much experience that cares about the progression of his patients!!! I will update this review as time moves on!!
I was very impressed by Dr. Blumenfeld. He was very thorough in assessing me and extremely knowledgeable about the medications used to treat people with my conditions. He seemed to genuinely listen to me, asked tons of questions about my background, and overall I left with the sense that he has my best interests at heart. He is not one of those psychiatrists who spends 5 minutes with you before handing you your prescriptions and sending you on your way. I only went to him for medications, but he also does talk therapy too if desired. Overall, I was very impressed and will definitely return! A good doctor is worth every penny.
    Dr. Blumenfield surpassed my expectations!!!
I really liked Dr. Blumenfield. I feel hopeful for the first time in a very long time. He relates well and really listens while offering suggestions for treatment no other doctor has ever mentioned previously. I look forward to my next appointment.
The visit was odd. I was extremely uncomfortable with the fact that he works out of his home. He seemed offended that I asked the reason for this. The visit was ok but I will not be going back.
    Very professional and thorough.
I am very happy with my visit.
