About Michael Virgile
Michael Virgile earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy and Bachelor's Degree in Rehabilitation Science from Northeastern University, graduating with magna cum laude honors. His clinical experience includes orthopedics, rehabilitation, and sports medicine. Michael is also a certified personal trainer and a certified strength and conditioning specialist.
During his time at Northeastern, Michael was an avid soccer player for the men's club team for five years and co-captained the team during his senior year. He has treated at several orthopedic and sports-based clinics across the country, including an 11-week affiliation with the Indiana Pacers basketball team.
Michael's clinical interests include manual therapy, Graston Technique, and Maitland mobilizations.
Outside of the clinic, Michael enjoys playing soccer, strength training, running, NFL football, and staying up-to-date on the latest health and fitness innovations.
His passion for sports medicine and dedication to helping others achieve their rehabilitation goals brought him from Boston to SPEAR PT, where he is excited to help his patients improve their function and health.

Really well-run practice. Only downside is that their scheduling system is NOT integrated with Zocdoc's (as of July 17, 2019). This means that the slots listed as open in Zocdoc are not actually available in their system. They call and schedule you separately. Availability is actually much more restricted.
But excellent facility. Efficient check-in. Nice amenities. Professional PT's.

Mike has been an extraordinary asset for my recovery of Arthritis in my hip. He is extremely knowledgeable and willing to try a variety of techniques and methods to help improve my strength & flexibility. I highly recommend Spear and Mike in particular!

Great! I was in a lot of pain when I first arrived at SPEAR and Michael gave me a very thorough evaluation and was excellent at communicating my injury to me. I am on my 4th week working with Michael and I feel almost back to new! He has fabulous bedside manner and makes a normal "medical" appointment feel like a day at the gym!
