“I had the best possible experience at Professional PT’s Copley Square location under the kind attention of Nick Almonte, DPT. During a months-long rehab for a broken arm, he continuously challenged and encouraged me, resulting in a return to functionality I was not sure at the outset could be achieved. The facility is spotless and all the staff on hand work as a team to make each session efficient and productive. It’s a joyful atmosphere, where everyone knows your name - very conducive to healing!”

“I’ve had 2 separate treatment sessions at the Back Bay Professional Physical Therapy and both have been excellent! My first one was with Nick when I lifted a heavy suitcase into an airplane overhead bin and hurt my rotator cuff. Nick really listened to how I was hurt and my shoulder healed up so I had no more pain. He is so great! The second visit after a year was with Rachel and she was so great too! My dog pulled the same arm quickly and jerked it to the side causing a lot of pain. Rachel made a thorough analysis to determine that initially my neck needed the focus and so worked on my spine. Later she worked on my upper arm muscle strength. I just had my last visit and I can use my arm with no pain. The entire staff is so helpful too!”

About Nick Almonte

Throughout my entire life, I have participated in athletics. From little league baseball to collegiate wrestling, I always lead an active lifestyle and was a part of a team. With physical therapy I found that I am not only able to do both of those things but help others do those things as well. Early on in my education at Springfield College, I grew fond of the idea that “exercise is medicine” and it’s been an integral part of my philosophy ever since. After graduation in 2020, this philosophy further blossomed throughout my time in graduate school at Boston University where I was able to put that philosophy to work. Over many weeks of hands-on clinical education, with one clinical experience right here at Professional Physical Therapy, I was able to help many different patients with a wide variety of conditions. These experiences only further enhanced this philosophy and increased my desire to help people on a day-to-day basis through movement and exercise.

I arrived at ProPT in July, two months after an ACL reconstruction surgery. I am eternally grateful for all of the support, encouragement, and professionalism Nick brought to each of our sessions. Every session was filled with new exercises that were tweaked depending on how I was feeling while still challenging me and progressing my recovery. With Nick’s guidance and help, I have achieved so many of my recovery goals and will carry all that I’ve learned with me as I continue to recover and return to sports!
I had an outstanding experience with Nick and the team. I'm very thankful for the attentive and professional assistance I received. A huge thanks to Nick, Mike, Tahlia, Danni, Eric and Summer. Everyone was simply terrific!
