About Dr. Nicole Peloso

Nicole Russo has been a physical therapist at Excel Physical Therapy’s Waldwick office for over ten years. Nicole graduated magna cum laude from Quinnipiac University with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and Bachelor of Science in Health Science Studies. While at QU, Nicole participated in co-ed intramural basketball (3v3, 5v5) and volleyball. Prior to college, Nicole was a three-sport varsity athlete in basketball, lacrosse, and tennis. When Nicole was 16, she experienced a sports-related injury, including tibial stress fractures. Her PT experience was so positive that she couldn’t imagine choosing any other career for herself. Still to this day, she is grateful for pursuing a rewarding profession, which allows her to help others get back to the ‘best versions’ of themselves. Although Nicole enjoys treating just about any type of injury, she enjoys working with young patients following knee surgeries, as well as both surgical and non-surgical shoulder and ankle injuries. Her own unique experience in outpatient physical therapy at a young age has helped her to better understand and find successful outcomes in treating similar patients on an individual basis. She takes pride in working collaboratively as a team and construction sport-specific activities that are meaningful, challenging, and FUN for all of her patients whenever possible.
