Nicole Pia, DPT, PT

Physical Therapist
220 Tompkins Ave, Pleasantville, NY
Nicole earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy and Bachelor of Health Science from Quinnipiac University. While at Quinnipiac, she was involved in their pro bono physical therapy clinic, EQUIP Rehabilitation, where she served on both the Special Events and Go Baby Go committees. One of her favorite memories with EQUIP was helping organize a wheelchair basketball tournament to raise funds for local adaptive sport teams. Nicole also had the unique opportunity as a student of presenting her capstone research poster at the 2022 APTA Combined Sections Meeting. Nicole was inspired to go into physical therapy after seeing the hope it had brought to a close family member. She set out to pursue a career in pediatrics because of this, however, discovered her true passion for sports medicine and orthopedics along the way. Her most recent clinical experience was in a pediatric sports medicine facility where she worked with a variety of young athletes to improve their strength and function for return to play. She has also had experience working with orthopedic, neurologic and developmental conditions. After sustaining a knee injury while skiing, Nicole was even able to experience firsthand the benefits of physical therapy and understand the courage it takes to return to activity. She aspires to help patients reach their optimal function using progressive exercise and manual techniques so they can feel confident to get back to the activities they love.
