About Dr. Nicoleta Monica Saliu

My journey into the world of physical therapy and wellness began in my hometown of Craiova, Dolj, located in the south of Romania. Growing up in a place known for its rich culture, art, music, and the warmth of its people, I was deeply inspired by the sense of community and care that surrounded me. From an early age, I was a competitive volleyball player, and it was through this experience that my passion for sports and the medical field was ignited. The discipline, teamwork, and dedication required in sports naturally led me to explore how the body works and how it can be nurtured to perform at its best. This passion grew stronger as I saw the impact that proper care and training could have on both preventing injuries and enhancing athletic performance. I completed my undergraduate studies in Kinetotherapy at the University of Craiova in 2001. My desire to deepen my knowledge and skills brought me to New York, where I earned my graduate degree from Dominican University in 2015. My education and training have equipped me with a diverse set of specialties, including Pelvic Health, Prenatal/Postpartum Care, Pelvic Health Sexuality Coaching and Counseling, Office Ergonomic Evaluation, Kinesiotaping, and both Stott and Balanced Body Pilates. I’m also a trained Foundation Training Practitioner, which I incorporate into my everyday patient care.

Monica was very gentle but thorough. She helped me do stretches that worked on my shoulder and neck and made me feel a lot better.

Monica is very nice, professional physical therapist. She helped me a lot on my neck pain, my shoulder pain, lower back pain. Very nice office, waiting time is short, staff are friendly. I will recommend any one I know to see her.
