About Olivia Barry

I am a physical therapist and yoga instructor in Sebastopol in Sonoma County. After about 20 years of teaching for YogaWorks in Los Angeles as a teacher trainer and working as a physical therapist in various settings, my husband and I moved to Northern California to raise my little boy in this beautiful natural setting with redwoods and wildlife of all sorts. I have taught dozens of yoga teacher trainings, including training the trainers, and I am author of the YogaWorks Teacher Training Anatomy Manual and curriculum. A UC Berkeley alum, I went on to graduate honors with a Master’ in Physical Therapy from CSU Northridge. My movement studies began long before at the San Francisco Ballet School and you can still find me in a ballet class from time to time. Yoga is a safer bet for the body and mind however, and I'm very grateful to my mentors Lisa Walford, Maty Ezraty, Marla Apt, and Paul Cabanis.
