“I like his approach of looking at the whole body. I think this is a better approach than PT that just focuses on the one problem area. Also, I've been to PT in a number of other places. This was a full hour hands on with the PT himself. ”

About Dr. Peter Hwang

**We are an Out of Network Physical Therapy Office. We try our best to accommodate all patients with different levels of benefits.** At Reset Physical Therapy, we treat the body as a single unit. Our belief is that a dysfunction in one part of the body can affect the movement of the entire system. Our primary goal is to help patients "Reset" their movement to an optimal state. We also aim to “Reset” how physical therapy is practiced by providing the highest quality care, utilizing cutting-edge techniques and concepts based on empirical evidence. We provide a thorough evaluation using the latest assessment knowledge and tools. We emphasize a "hands-on" approach with the addition of corrective exercises tailored specifically for each individual. Each client receives 50-minute one-on-one sessions with a dedicated and experienced physical therapist. At Reset Physical Therapy, we specialize in orthopedic rehabilitation, post-surgical rehabilitation, spine, neck, ergonomics, and sports-related injuries. Our diverse client population includes office workers, weekend warriors, marathoners, professional fighters, and dancers. Our lead therapist holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from New York University, ensuring expert care grounded in advanced education and training.

Peter was instrumental in helping me achieve a full range of motion sooner than expected after my ACL surgery. He very chill, funny, and generally a very interesting person to be around, which makes the experience more pleasant. He is not pushy and uses a good balance of established and non-traditional techniques. Would recommend

I saw Peter beginning in March to treat chronic runner’s knee. I had been injured for four years, and at the time was not able to run more than a mile. By July I could run 3+ miles at a time, in September I raced a 5k, and last week I ran over 7 miles. Peter worked with me to identify other weaknesses that were causing my injury. I had weekly appointments and he gave me a short and long program of exercises to complete on my own time. Within about 4 months I stopped seeing him regularly because I had healed so much. Peter also has a great manner - easygoing, relaxed, and fun to work with. He explained everything that was going on so I felt I had a good understanding of how weakness in one part of the body could lead to an injury in another part. I recommend him to all my friends and colleagues!

Saw Peter for help remaining injury-free while I trained for my first half marathon in a long while. I'm injury prone in feet/Achilles/calves and also have tight hip flexors that make things more complicated. Peter is out of network but very reasonable in price and very worth it as he spends a whole 50 minutes with his patients each session. He also takes a careful holistic approach, such as focuses on your breathing and overall functional stregnth and flexibility. I highly recommend!

Peter helped my 81 year old father correctly diagnose the cause of his persistent leg pain and helped prescribe a range of exercises to strengthen his core and back and showed him The result is that my dad is now much better. He had seen two earlier doctors in Boston who wrongly diagnosed the situation and Peter got it right . He is prompt, friendly , knowledgable and culturally very aware. I would have no hesitation in recommending Peter
I came in to see Peter for a pinch nerve in my lower back and I’ve seen a great deal of improve. He has not only treating my back and postural issues, he’s also help me pinpoint the cause of my problems. He helps you with stretches and exercised that work to counteract our daily bad habits. You really get one-on-one treatment with him and he’s very flexible with scheduling.
He responded right away, he was fairly available, and the session itself was very helpful, with both in-session physical therapy and also specific exercises to work on at home. He was both well-informed with latest physical therapy theories/techniques, as well as with related medical practices and general procedures. The only thing that needs remarking here is that as of this review his schedule and the ZocDoc appointment schedule does not seem to be synched, so ZocDoc shows all appointment slots as available, whereas that's not really the case. The good news is that within an hour or two of scheduling an appointment I was contacted with actual availability. Hopefully soon that will be remedied, also in general he has several slots available every day. Overall I highly recommend him.

Peter is a great guy and a great doctor. Always willing to listen and to try new techniques, he always has his patients' best interest in mind. Very responsive via email, and zero wait time. Highly recommended.

I had double knee surgery earlier this year. Prior to going to Reset PT, I tried other PT places where the therapist would work on me and several other patients at the same time. Referred by a friend, I found that Dr. Hwang provided extraordinary one on one treatment. He only works on one patient at a time. With his skillful treatment, he has helped me to get back on the running track months earlier than my doctor initially estimated. I also recently hurt my back weight lifting. Dr. Hwang was able to provide treatment on the painful area and helped me to rehabilitate my back muscles to ensure this does not occur again. Another benefit is this PT takes my insurance which helps keep my total treatment cost very low. I highly recommend Reset PT for anyone who needs treatment.

Peter is excellent. I've worked with him in the past and am happy to see he now has his own practice in a convenient location in the financial district. I first went to Peter for tendinitis in my arm and made a full recovery under his care, which prompted me to look him up at his new practice when I sprained my ankle. Peter is professional, courteous, and makes PT fun! He's happy to answer any questions, is great about assessing not only the injury you came in for but also investigating other issues that may be contributing factors. He pays attention to detail and gives helpful exercises to do at home as part of recovery. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy, friendly and truly helpful physical therapist.

This is my second time I've gotten therapy here. I like the one-on-one, the smallness and comfortness. Peter is great at making you work and making it fun.
